Albavilla is a small country retreat situated within the exclusive parkland setting of Martinborough Estate. The Estate is adjacent to the golf course, and a short stroll to the village. Nearby are many of the renowned vineyards that the Wairarapa region is famous for.

Guestrooms are individual in style, with country ambiance, stunning views to the surrounding hills, and spectacular sunsets are often to be seen to the west. All have en suites and every amenity, including air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities with refrigerator, robes, iron, hair dryer, LCD television, DVD/Video player, clock radio and broadband connection.

Burgundy Guest Room With a hospitality background of some 25 years, our mainspring and central interest is of course wine – befitting our unique location in Martinborough. Our award-winning cellar (previously Champerelle and Aylstone) offers vintages of the region and around the world – from first growths to country classics.

Characterised by French Provincial architechture and eclectic furnishings, Abavilla has no pretensions of being a grand house, but promises genuine country-house hospitality that only a private home with owners in residence can offer.
