  • Stroll to the village where wines of the region are offered for sale.
  • Drive further afield to Te Muna Road, or north to Gladstone, Daikins Road, and Masterton where in recent years large plantings have expanded the region beyond the boutique vineyards of Martinborough.

  • Travel down the rugged South Wairarapa coastline to Cape Palliser, with Lake Ferry on the way, the seal colony and finally the lighthouse.
  • Visit Mount Bruce Wildlife Reserve (45 minutes drive north)
  • Visit the towns of Featherston,Greytown and Carterton for museums, antiques, and boutique shopping.
  • The rural town of Masterton and beyond to the seaside settlements of Castlepoint and Riversdale.
